The 2023 Slate
So you’re a fan of Foreign Press, or just a fan of comics in general. Well do I have news for you! It’s our 2023 slate! Everything that is coming has been building for months now, if not longer, and I’m ready for the world to see!
A weekly black-and-white strip that is equal parts Star Trek and Calvin and Hobbes. Peter the Fish-stronaut is about the titular character, a fish in a spacesuit, as he goes on interstellar adventures, happily discovering the mysteries of the universe with his cynical robotic companion, James Webb. Launching January 5th and releasing every Thursday. The entire first year is already been made, so no worrying about breaks, delays, or any sort of pauses.
Equal parts cookbook and comic anthology, Comics From the Kitchen is full of stories about food, some fictional and some based on the creators’ treasured memories. Featuring the work of creators like Jimmy Gaspero, Luke Henderson, and Sophia Hickerson, Comics From the Kitchen also features the recipes that go along with those stories: foods like sopa de albondigas, blini, mac and cheese, and Dutch apple pie. Coming in spring/summer 2023.
The year is 1944. Archie; an SOE operative, is sent from London into occupied France as part of a Jedburgh operation to disrupt the German war machine. What awaits him is a test of mental fortitude, trust becomes the key to making it back home. Sussex is a psychological thriller that explores mental health through the lens of a spy. The first issue from Nick Goode and Alvaro Molina is coming to a crowdfunding platform near you in fall 2023.
These are just the NEW projects that we're launching. I'm not mentioning the fourth issue of Outlaw Country, more Sleep Sister Sleep, and other projects that are still being negotiated as I type this.
To everyone reading, be kind to one another. And have fun!
