Anthology submissions are closed! Be on the lookout for Vol. 3!
Foreign Press Comics and editor Devin Arscott are inviting YOU to come and pitch your stories for a series of four 32 page anthology entitled S.M.A.S.H. Quarterly. S.M.A.S.H. stands for SUSPENSE, MYSTERY, ACTION, SCI-FI, HORROR, and we'd like your stories to involve one of those genres. We’re particularly interested in building a team of diverse creators, but submissions are open to anyone!
Rules:
Those submitting to the anthology must submit as a team, as we will not be pairing writers and artists at this time. If you submitted Q1 of S.M.A.S.H. Quarterly, please do not submit the same story.
Stories should should be between 2-4 pages in length. These can be one off shorts or an establishing story for an ongoing series later in your creative journey. Teams may submit more than one story, but only one will be selected in order to achieve the variety necessary for the project based on strength of the pitch.
Stories can be rated R or below. We want to allow the creators to be as expressive as possible.
Please do not send concept art, completed comics, or fan fiction with copyrighted characters. We want original new material only please.
All members of the creative team must be over 18 years of age.
All stories must be in English unless they are silent stories.
The projected deadline for finished art for this second issue is July 2023.
Compensation:
Teams shall be compensated $60 per page. This will be distributed via PayPal upon the project being successfully crowdfunded and will receive two copies of the anthology, along with any extra funds acquired through the crowdfunding campaign.
Rights:
All creators will retain the rights to their stories, and we shall be given the right to reprint the material as necessary for various purposes (marketing, digital copies, etc).

Black and White, 300DPI .tiff, modern standard comic size (10-1/8 inches by 6-5/8 inches)
